Born Daniel Moctezuma, Leven emerged as a recording artist in 2017 with his first single & self-produced project "Kintsukuroi/Water". Since then, the California artist has appeared on over 15 released projects--7 of which are self-produced singles & 1 being his debut EP "AYALA" in the summer of 2022.

 

As of 2024, Daniel Leven is to be on several finished & unreleased collaborative projects with East LA producer Mellow Thing & is in the midst of developing his first self-produced album. Leven has also made a number of appearances across Southern California as supporting guitarist for the experimental Hip-Hop group Spiffy Green. He currently records at his personal studio office in the heart of Orange County in Downtown Santa Ana.

Leven speaks & sings in English, Spanish & Nahuatl. Being of Mexican descent & bearing his indigenous surname, the Chicano artist also identifies as Native American Nahua. His respective family roots are Purepecha, Otomi & Mexica-Tenochca (where the surname comes from).
